Taipei Int'l Digital Electronics Show 2007

DigiTronics Taipei 2006 was officially closed on April 20, 2006 A total of over a thousand foreign buyers and close to 20 thousand domestic manufacturers visited the exhibition and placed orders during this period. From the most frequently visited theme halls there is no doubt about the close relationship between technology and life. The needs of consumers are immediately met by the development of new electronic products. Not only people’s life is changed, the explosion of new business opportunity also stimulates the renewal of high-tech industry.

As the needs of consumers are broad, we have specially set up two Digital TV Life Simulation booths in the Digital TV Living Hall in DigiTronics Taipei 2006. The purpose is to layout a complete digital living environment equipped with all kinds of high definition audio and visual devices and digital video content. To the general public, HDTV (High-Definition TV) will be the product that could readily enter the family.

, user’s acceptance of HDTV is steadily on the rise. Channel providers, system operators, and terminal suppliers are also continue to look for searching mode of operation. It is estimated that the global HDTV users will approach 45 million by 2008. Whether looking from the trend of Industry or the HDTV related mature product shown in DigiTronics Taipei 2006, it can be seen that the time of HDTV is finally coming.

On the other hand, the innovative mobile application hall and SMART HOME concept zone in DigiTronics Taipei 2006 are the extension of Digital Home and Digital Lifestyle that combine the application of telecommunication and security, entertainment, mobility, and innovation. In the exhibition hall, the Taiwanese manufacturers demonstrated their strength in manufacturing, R&D, and integration. For example, CMC’s DVB-H system service provides N92, the first mobile TV handset with build-in DVB-H receiver produced by Nokia, to demonstrate the two testing channels in plan. The broadcast of film is smooth with no delay. In future, there will be more application solutions and promotion strategy in addition to the mobile phone application.

In the SMART HOME aspect, based on the past experience in Digital Home Construction, Farglory Realty demonstrates the Digital Housekeeper, Vein Identification Security System, and Remote Home Appliance Control, etc. They emphasize the realization of digital family is not future tense but present progressive tense. Other manufacturers also have many demonstrations in intelligent mobile equipment. For instance, E-Ten, with vast experience in real-time stock trading IA, has introduced the E-TEN Pathfinder that integrates PMP, DAB/DMB, and GPS functions with 3.5” LCD and bluetooth 2.0 capability. TelePaq on the other hand introduces stock phone that has 3-band roaming, digital camera mobile phone, PDA, e-mail, and stock IA functions. Both companies are working toward the digital convergence platform.

Therefore, the high-tech industry is moving toward the fashion and closely connected to the life. This is the huge business opportunity that the world’s leading companies are eager to capture a share.

The development process of digital electronics technology products in recent years, in addition to manifest the needs of consumer, also shows the newly formed attitude of digital life.
